- What
needs to be done
Few
of Gern's instruments have survived the general
ravages of time, and the less co-operative events
of European history.
Most of those still in use have been modified to
fit new locations. This organ, in near-original
condition, is still in use only by the dint of continually
sensitive care and attention.
We are professionally advised that it urgently needs
comprehensive restoration.
We are assured that our aim to return it to full
working order, while retaining its present outward
appearance, is both practical and worthwhile.
